Check Out the Renovated Firehall with FREE Sampler Classes!

osca_new_logo_300Come and check out the spiffy, newly renovated Main Hall by trying any of the following classes for free! If you are into Hip-Hop, wonder about Zumba®, want to get "boot camp" fit, dance your belly to a Bollywood tune, or stretch your pilates muscles, then register for one (or more!) free sessions by clicking Register Online on the Old Ottawa South homepage. (Space is limited, so register early. Registration begins August 20th. First come, first served.)

Hip-Hop (8 - 10 years)

Instructor Tiana Williams will introduce her new Fall dance class at the Firehall. Sign up your child for this free sampler class. Join all the fun in this dynamic class which will explore the latest Hip-Hop moves as well as elements of funk, R&B, and street styles, all while moving to the latest tunes. (This session takes place in the new Dance Studio at the Firehall.)

Zumba®

Instructor Chris Slade introduces Zumba® to the Firehall for the fall session. A fusion of hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves creates a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Come experience an exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing movement before you register for the fall session.

Boot Camp Fitness

Instructor Tanya Robertson will offer this dynamic new program at the Firehall Tuesday mornings starting in September. Boot Camp fitness will appeal to people at any fitness level. Sports-specific drills are introduced in a unique way, outside of the actual sports environment. Work on balance and endurance, while building strength and developing core muscles. Participants work together to motivate and challenge one another—pushing both mind and body to achieve your own personal goals. Belly Dance: Beginners and Beyond & BellyWood With Halyma

Instructor Tracey Vibert will do a half hour belly dance and a half hour "BellyWood" class to introduce people to her popular courses, which will be offered on Tuesday evenings at the Firehall. BellyWood combines belly dancing and the energy of Bollywood dance to make for an exciting new program.

Pilates

Instructor Lori Meyers will run a half hour introduction to Pilates, followed by a one hour class suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners. Pilates will help change your body by improving your body awareness and posture while building core strength and producing long lean muscles. You’ll know your body better, stand straighter, feel stronger, and become more flexible.
