Deborah won the 2010 City of Ottawa art competition for the display of works of art in public places, and the set of copper panels now holds pride-of-place in the vestibule of the Old Firehall—the Ottawa South Community Centre—at 260 Sunnyside Avenue.
Come on in and have a look! The panels are meant to be viewed against the old Firehouse doors, bringing inside out/outside in and merging past with present at the Firehall.
Deborah Margo is currently a faculty member in the department of visual arts at the University of Ottawa where she teaches drawing, painting and sculpture.
