Community Health Centres are community-run organizations tailored to community needs and resources and committed to building healthier communities. The community health centre model of care is unique: the services go beyond primary health care to address the underlying conditions that affect one’s health.

Health and Counselling Services (HCS) is a multidisciplinary healthcare facility that provides medical, counselling and a health promotion program to Carleton University students, faculty and staff.
A multidisciplinary staff, comprised of family physicians, psychiatrists, counsellors, registered nurses, a health educator, support staff and student peer educators, provide comprehensive medical services, including treatment of illness, immunizations, birth control information, and a health education program. Their Counselling services have professionally trained counsellors and psychiatrists to help with personal and emotional difficulties.
