David Fels’ sculpture “Sailing Through Time” was dedicated in its new home in the foyer of the River Building at Carleton University on Tuesday June 26, 2012. Created from the trunk of the Brighton Beach oak, the sculpture was completed on campus last fall in honour of the tree, in recognition of the 25th anniversary of Rick Hansen’s Man in Motion World Tour and as a statement of commitment by Carleton University to accessibility and a more inclusive society.
