Everyone get ready for a civic pride and community building event like no other in Ottawa. It takes place this Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 9:30am to 4:30pm at Brewer Park, 100 Brewer Way, across from Carleton University.
This is a free multigenerational and multicultural community building and activity filled day-long event or “festival” featuring a recreational co-ed soccer tournament bridging and connecting cultures, ethnicities and generations. This fun-filled day also boasts international foods, music, demonstration sports, a citizenship ceremony, kids’ activities, live entertainment and much more. We invite you to take full advantage and plan a “Picnic in the Park!”

1:30pm Citizenship Re-affirmation Ceremony
2:30pm Rugby Demo from Ottawa Swans
2:45pm Spirit Champions announced
4:00pm Community Cup Champs announced
All Day – Face painting, demo sports, splash pad park, Musical Language Village, soccer, and more

Bring a perishable food for the Ottawa Food Bank Bin located in the info booth and receive a free blanket (to the first 100 participants) to enjoy a picnic in the park with delicious food from the “Ottawa Farmer’s Market.”
