One of Old Ottawa South's latest homegrown success stories—Life of Pie—opened its doors at its new location at 1095 Bank Street on Tuesday, September 7th at 8:00 am, just as children began to arrive at Hopewell Public School for their first day of the new school year. From now on, mums and dads and caregivers will find scones, muffins, cookies, brownies, soup, quiches, and of course pie, right across the street from the school. Many hardworking parents will find the take-home savoury dinner pies and quiches delicious and convenient. People working close by can be nourished by lunch pies such as curry and quiche at the new location.
Kerry Duffy of Life of Pie made a name for herself with local residents at the corner of Hopewell and Leonard: with her new spot on our main street, everyone else who likes a good pie—be it sweet or savoury—will be happy to discover it.
Kerry is also offering a workshop on how to make the perfect pumpkin pie at the newly renovated Old Ottawa South Community Centre (260 Sunnyside Ave.) on Wednesday, September 29 at 6:30 pm. The cost is $20. Register at www.oldottawasouth.ca
The Old Ottawa South Community Association wishes Life of Pie the very best at its new location!
