Make a difference in the lives of struggling artisans—volunteer your time at Ten Thousand Villages in Old Ottawa South! As a non-profit fair trade store, Ten Thousand Villages is a program of the Mennonite Central Committee that works with artisans in developing countries to ensure they are earning a living with dignity and respect.

The two stores in Westboro and Old Ottawa South are currently seeking customer service volunteers who are committed to serving our mission and sharing the goals of fair trade. Training is provided. For more information call 613-759-4701 or visit www.alternativetrade.com.

Ten Thousand Villages sells fairly traded products from around the world.They sell a wide variety of hand-made crafts, such as linens, jewellery, toys, ceramics, musical instruments, home decor and more. Visit their Old Ottawa South store at 1174 Bank Street for great "gifts that give twice".
