Or rather, computer. It may not replace microfilm but it’s certainly easier for researching history and genealogy. The archives of the Ottawa Citizen newspaper are now available on Google online via the news archives search; try out news.google.com/arch...arch/advanced_search and choose Ottawa Citizen in the source field; it’s an incredible resource for local news from the past.

With Hopewell's 100th in mind, there is an excellent article about Hopewell's history in the Feb 20th 1947 edition of the Citizen:

Hi James:

When is Hopewell's 100th? Is there a particular date, or just year? We'll want to keep abreast of any celebrations planned by Hopewell for the Events calendar and an article. Maybe OSHP will want to write a historical lead-in for OSCA website front page, as the event/date nears.
