Old Ottawa South

I am new to Old Ottawa South and found this website which I am using as a way to reach out to the community to find daycare. However, I find it rather uncomfortable posting a daycare add under the forum *buy and sell. Would it be possible or useful to add a forum called jobs or employment?

Our webmaster Chris is away but when he returns I will certainly suggest that we create such a forum.

You could also contact the OSCAR editor, Mary Anne Thompson, about getting a free ad in the "Classy Ads" of the print community newspaper. The deadline for submissions for September was last Friday, but she may still be able to consider it. Her email address is: oscar@oldottawasouth.ca.

There are also often offers to share daycare in the same section of the OSCAR, which will be coming out near the end of the month, a little late for you, perhaps.

Another option may be to search recent issues of the OSCAR, which are archived in PDF format on the website, and see if there have been recent offerings of daycare in the Classy Ads, and try contacting them. (See this site under OSCAR pulldown menu.)

Hi Cathy-

I agree that "buy & sell" isn't the right place for your topic, so I suggest just putting it in "General". We don't have very much traffic in this forum, so I'd rather not add more subcategories. I've updated the description to the "General" forum to make that a bit more clear.
