Bill Willmore, professor of Biochemistry at Carleton University, will discuss what happens in your body when oxygen "goes wrong". This talk will outline the process of how oxygen can become dangerous pro-oxidant "free radicals" and the types of damage to tissues and cells of the body when they do.
